Serve
Being a part of the Life community is much bigger than an hour on Sundays. Life in pursuit of God is not meant to be lived as spectators. Each of us is called to get out of the stands and into the game, to serve God and one another. As we serve in the ways God has uniquely gifted and called us to, not only do we find ourselves being shaped and stretched but we find ourselves encountering God in new and significant ways.
Our aim is to welcome everyone into Life Community Church, to help them connect with others and find a place to serve and give themselves away. The opportunities are endless. Some areas of service include:
- Children’s Life Check-in Team: Support the Life Community Children’s Life program through welcoming parents and their kids, checking them into their classroom, and supporting classroom leaders during a Sunday service. Contact Family Life Pastor Trevor if interested in any areas of Childrens Ministry at Trevor@lifekirkland.org.
- Children’s Life Volunteer: Provide loving care for infants in the nursery or connect and build relationships with our elementary school students by being a part of the Kid’s Life leadership team, during a Sunday service. There are opportunities in the Nursery Life (must be 16 years of age or older), Toddler Life (1 - 3 years), Preschool Life (3 years – Kindergarten) and Kids Life (1st – 4th Graders). - Student Life Sunday Volunteer: Join our teams to influence 5th & 6th Graders in Route 56 or Junior High and High School students in HUB Church during a Sunday service. Contact Family Life Pastor Trevor if interested in any areas of Student Ministry at Trevor@lifekirkland.org.
- HUB Volunteer: Do you love Junior High and High School students? We offer a student night every Wednesday called the HUB where students gather together from different schools throughout Kirkland and Bellevue to connect and learn about Jesus. You can develop meaningful relationships with them and help them find and follow Jesus. Contact Family Life Pastor Trevor if interested in any areas of Student Ministry at Trevor@lifekirkland.org.
- First Impressions Team Volunteer: Help put together worship folders and prepare the church for the Sunday service, or greet and be a part of the friendly welcoming experience new guests get when they join us on Sunday mornings. Serve up a latte at the espresso cart or take coffee orders. Training is available. Contact Pastor Debra if interested in any areas of First Impressions at Debra@lifekirkland.org.
- Technology/ Media or Behind the Scenes: Are you gifted in the area of technology and media? There are many positions that people service in during the Sunday service or with the HUB student ministry on Wednesday nights in this area. Please contact Worship Pastor David Sparks if interested in any areas of Worship Media/Technology at DLDsparks(at)gmail.com.
- Life Group Host: Use your gifts of hospitality and host a Life Group in your home. Commitment is one “quarter” and you need to take a leader/host training class. Contact Spiritual Growth Pastor Kristin Ford if you’re interested in hosting a group the next Life Group quarter (Kristin@lifekirkland.org).
- Life Group Leader: Lead a group by facilitating discussion and overseeing details. Commitment is one “quarter” and you need to take a leader/host training class.
